Conference Bridge System

 

Background
The conference system offered by Information Technology Services allows a WSU employee to host or participate in a multi-party conversation with almost anyone who has access to a telephone. The use of the conference system is free with the only cost to the customer being the long distance charges associated with dialing into the system. In addition to its basic function the system also provides the following key features:

 

Scheduling - The system provides for web based or phone based scheduling by the end user so that scheduling may be done at your convenience.
Notification - Provided that email addresses are provided when scheduling a conference call, the system will automatically send notification of the call to all conference participants.
Recording - If a participant is unable to attend, the conference call may be optionally recorded so that the call can be listened to at a later time.
In Session Features - During a conference call you are able to listen to a roll call of meeting participants, mute the line of a participant (to eliminate music on hold or background noise), lock a meeting so that no one else may join and use outdial to add in a participant who did not initially attend the call.

System Specifications
The conference system is configured as follows:

Maximum Ports: 96
Maximum ports per conference call: 24
Maximum time per conference call: 4 hours
Time allowed to dial in before a call is scheduled to begin
