Antivirus Information
University Wide Site License for Faculty, Staff and Graduate Students
Purchased for all WSU owned computers and home computers of Faculty, Staff and Graduate Students.
Computer support personnel (typically System Administrators) in WSU areas, departments, and units are responsible for installing the software on university owned computers. These personnel also supply the software for use on Faculty, Staff and Graduate Student home computers.

Undergraduate Access
Undergraduate students may download the Symantec Client at the Software Library.
Accessing Distribution Files
System Administrators may use the Application Form to request access to the distribution files. The System Managers site will be available when you receive the confirmation email.
University Wide Policy
WSU requires
antivirus software on all computers connected to the WSU network.

The site license covers the majority of computers at WSU including Windows, Novell, MacOS, and IBM 0S2. Symantec Antivirus for email Gateways and Microsoft Exchange is available to units for protecting email servers.
UNIX antivirus software can be acquired, at regular vendor pricing, from Sophos antivirus.
Red Hat Linux and Sun Solaris versions are available from Symantec.
