Bit by Bit - Preface
This series of short documents will deal with existing and emerging computing and communications technologies. The documents are intended to cover technologies in a general fashion, in an easy to absorb, non-technical manner.
Target Audience
The target audience for this series of papers are the non-technical members of the community, especially those who need to plan for or budget for technologies. Deans, directors, chairs, faculty members, administrative staff, graduate students and other members of the university community all potentially can gain some useful information on specific technology topics in this series.
The papers will try to provide a simple framework explaining what the technology is, how it might be useful, what to be careful of when implementing, and similar issues.
