Eudora 6.2 for Mac

*Please note that Eudora defaults to using the same user ID and password for both the incoming and outgoing servers.  If your Unix ID and password are different than your Network ID and password, Eudora will not be able to send using SSL unless you set up an additional Personality with your Network ID credentials.

Instructions on how to do this can be found on the Secure SSL main page.

  1. Go to the "Special" menu and select "Settings".
  2. Select "Getting Started" from the menu on the left and change the SMTP server to smtp.wsu.edu.

  3. Now select the "Sending Mail" option and make sure that "Allow Authorization" is checked.
  4. Select the "Miscellaneous" option and check the box that says "Use System Keychain to store passwords".
  5. Now Select the "SSL" option and change the drop down menu on "SSL for SMTP" to Required (Alternate Port).  Hit "Ok" to save changes.
