Apple Mail (OS X)


  1. From the “Mail” menu, choose “Preferences”.
  2. Choose the “Accounts” tab.
  3. Select the appropriate email account and hit the “Server Settings” button.

  4. On the “Server Settings” screen change your “Outgoing Mail Server” to: smtp.wsu.edu.
  5. Change the port number to “465”.  Check the “Secure Sockets Layer (SSL)” box.  Make sure that the “Authentication Type” is “Password” and enter your Network ID and password and hit “Ok”.

  6. Close the “Accounts” screen and hit the “Save Changes” button.
