Outlook Express 6
- From the “Tools” menu, select “Accounts”.
- Select the “Mail” tab.
- Select your WSU mail account as shown:
- Click the “Properties” button.
- Select the “Servers” tab.
- Under “Outgoing Mail (SMTP)”, type in the mail server name “smtp.wsu.edu” and select the checkbox for “My server requires authentication” as shown:
- Now select the “Settings” button.
- Select the option “Log on Using” and enter your Network ID and password as shown and select the “ok” button.
- Select the “Advanced” tab.
- Under Server Port Numbers, below the Outgoing Mail (SMTP) field, select the checkbox for “This server requires a secure connection (SSL)” and change the server number to 465.
- Click the “OK” button to save all changes.
