E-mail at WSU

Create your Network ID Account

Purpose Account used to register online, modify and check on your student and academic information.
Prerequisite You must know your WSU Student ID Number, your Social Security Number and your date of birth.
Location Go to www.wsu.edu/eic for current students, www.wsu.edu/eic-facstaff, for faculty or staff.
Instructions From the EInfoCenter main page, Select Create a Network ID under Network Access in the menu bar. Follow instructions on the screen.

Create your Unix Account

Purpose Enables you to send and receive email and create a web page at WSU.
Prerequisite Your Network ID and Password created in the previous step.
Location Students should go to www.wsu.edu/eic.
Faculty and staff must contact the Phone Desk at 335-3663.
Instructions From the EInfoCenter main page, Select Create a UNIX account under Network Access in the menu bar. Follow instructions on the screen.


Set your E-mail Forwarding

Purpose

This allows you to give your friends and family a shorter email address of

YourChoice@wsu.edu

instead of:

YourUnixLogon@mail.wsu.edu.

Mail sent to your YourChoice@wsu.edu will be forwarded to your e-mail account or to YourAcct@hotmail.com etc.. This will also publish your email address in the online WSU directory.

Prerequisite A Network ID account and a UNIX In Box.
Location Go to www.wsu.edu/eic for current students, www.wsu.edu/eic-facstaff, for faculty or staff.
Instructions

From the EInfoCenter main page, Select Forward my e-mail under Addresses & E-Mail in the menu bar. Follow instructions on the screen.

When asked where you would like it forwarded, enter your Unix Account logon (from the previous step) followed by @mail.wsu.edu

i.e.: my_unixAccount_login@mail.wsu.edu,

or your own mail account,

i.e.: mysignin@hotmail.com
