Procedures and Requirements
How the process works
ITS provides the technical infrastructure, security and physical space for your server. As our client, you agree to meet the following requirements and specifications.
Setup
Clients are responsible for all server setup and preparation activities necessary for installation of the server(s)
Limited access
Only authorized and designated personnel of clients are allowed to access the equipment in ITB DSF. They will be required to adhere to the ITS security procedures.
Trouble-shooting contact
Clients will provide ITS Netops with the emergency contact details of one or more person(s) appointed and authorized to access the server facility. This will enable ITS Netops to alert the client of any system problems or faults. Access to the ITB DSF requires use of a DUO/PROX WSU Cougar Card. WSU Cougar DUO/PROX Cards cost $15 each and require submittal of IRI to Cougar Card Center.
Technical specifications
A client's server must be rack mountable in a 19" rack (customer supplied) and be configured with a 10/100/1000 Mbps Network Interface card. All electrical equipment must handle 120 volts and fit a standard receptacle. Other types of circuits are available upon request and at an additional cost.
