The IT Security Office is responsible for promoting a secure computing environment in which Washington State University can carry out its mission and accomplish its strategic goals, by overseeing information security policies, procedures, and practices for protecting core university data. The IT Security Office also provides consultation and support for departments, colleges, and student organizations in the areas of information security threat and vulnerability identification, protection of information technology assets, and IT security incident response and investigations.
